This is the most delicious garlic bread I’ve ever made in my life. I come from a long lineage of “garlic people”, and am lucky that my fiance shares those same values… if you understand the garlic lifestyle, then follow along with the recipe below. It will make your mouth water, and kill any vampire who even attempts to cross your path.
Roasted Garlic Bread
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 1 bulb garlic
- 4.5 oz butter room temperature
- 2 tbsp parsley finely chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- ¼ c parmesan chees finely grated
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 baguette or bread loaf of your choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF
- Drizzle garlic bulb with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Wrap in foil and and roast for 30 minutes.
- Set garlic aside to prepare your butter mixture. To prepare the mixture, put softened butter into a bowl with parsley, olive oil, red pepper flakes, parmesan, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Mash the mixture together with a fork.
- Remove the roasted garlic from the bulb and mix it into the butter and cheese mixture until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Slice your baguette in half, long-ways and spread a generous amount of your garlic butter mixture onto each half. Top with extra parmesan
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Slice it up and enjoy!
