Set a large pot over medium heat, and add olive oil. When the olive oil is shimmering, add onions and sauté for about 5 minutes. When the onions are translucent, add the minced garlic. Stir frequently, and let the garlic cook for about 1 minute, to really develop the fragrance and flavor.
Add ground beef, and season with salt, pepper, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Brown the beef, while stirring constantly, and breaking the ground beef into small pieces.
Once the beef is browned, and broken up fully, add tomato paste. Stir to fully combine all ingredients.
Add cans of crushed tomato and tomato sauces, stir to combine. Season with the remaining spices, and bring the sauce to a simmer.
Allow the sauce to simmer over low heat, for 30 minutes or more, so the spices have a chance to fully develop and marry in the sauce.
Serve over spaghetti squash or your choice of noodles, and garnish with parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
